Netbook PC Laptops Astonish
Netbook pc laptops are computers that run an operating system such as Windows XP and are without question, a great purchasing decision. They are incredibly portable, easy to use, and quite inexpensive. They can range in price from under $300 to just over $600. This phenomenal pricing makes them a great option for anyone on a tight budget or just wanting to save some money for other computing tools.
Until just recently, the netbook was used only for Internet and email use because of their size and power but now days netbooks are becoming a more conventional option for a variety of reasons. The popularity of netbooks means that more manufacturers are adding extras and better features. The more demanding the consumer becomes, the better these mini laptops will become. They are already a great piece of computer equipment and will only get better.
Netbooks normally have a screen ranging between 8 to 10 inches wide. They generally lack built-in optical drives and do not have full sized keyboards. Typing on a netbook is very different than using a laptop because the keyboard may be up to 15% smaller. It does take a little getting accustomed to but how is that much different from texting using a phone?
On a positive note, they do not lack the same extras you expect from a laptop. Netbook pc laptops usually have plenty of USB ports, built-in Wi-Fi, and features like Bluetooth, cellular modems, webcams, and card readers. Almost all netbooks use the Intel Atom platform, meaning you will get the Atom processor along with up to 1 GB of RAM and integrated graphics. These features are impressive for such a compact yet durable machine.
The netbook pc laptop market is presently pretty much dominated by three brands; Asus, Acer and Samsung. Many of the netbooks from these three brands have almost identical specifications but some models have proven to be more popular than others.
Asus netbooks are currently leading the market for many reasons. For one, it was one of the first companies to come up with a range of affordable mini laptops. Secondly, its devices currently have some of the best specification in the market. The Asus Eee PC models boast Intel Atom processing and have excellent battery lifespan.
Acer Aspire One offers almost the identical specifications but the Acer has managed to distinguish itself in terms of design and pricing. It is at present one of the cheapest netbook series in the market but this is constantly changing even as you read this article. In terms of designs, it may be a little better looking than the Asus devices and it comes in a variety of colors such as black, white, blue, red, and pink. The Acers proudly claim powerful computing features in a miniature structure weighing as little as 2 to 3 pounds.
Ultimately, the consumer needs to become as educated as possible when it comes to understanding the features available with these Netbook pc laptops. The functions and connectivity are becoming increasingly impressive. As the demand continues to grow, so will the quality of these fine tools.
